3D printed Umbreon figure

Just finished this digital artwork of my favorite Pokemon - 20 hours of work!

I've been practicing digital art for about a year now, and I finally feel confident enough to share something.

Fan Art

The Piece:
I drew Gardevoir in a fantasy forest setting, with magical particles floating around. Tried to capture that elegant, mystical vibe the Pokemon has.

Tools Used:

  • Procreate on iPad Pro

  • Custom brushes for the magical effects

  • About 47 layers (I went a bit overboard)

  • Reference images from the games and anime

Process:
  • Rough sketch (2 hours)

  • Line art (3 hours)

  • Base colors (2 hours)

  • Shading and lighting (6 hours)

  • Background (4 hours)

  • Effects and polish (3 hours)

What I Learned:
Lighting is everything! The piece looked flat until I added proper rim lighting and ambient glow.

I'm thinking of doing a series with all the fan-favorite Pokemon. Who should I draw next? Taking suggestions!
