Hyper Offense guide - How I got to top 500 on the ladder

I'm going to share the strategy that helped me climb the rankings. It's all about pressure and momentum.

Hyper Offense Lead

Core Principles:

  • Never give your opponent free turns

  • Always have a sweeper ready to clean

  • Hazards are your best friend

  • Predict switches aggressively

Team Structure:
  • Lead: Suicide Hazard Setter

  • 2 Setup Sweepers

  • 1 Priority User

  • 1 Wallbreaker

  • 1 Cleaner

The key is to overwhelm your opponent with constant threats. If they're always on the defensive, they can't set up their own win conditions.

What's your preferred playstyle? Hyper Offense, Balance, or Stall?

I see where you're coming from, though I have a slightly different take on this.

Nice! Scizor lead on a Psychic team is spicy, I wouldn't expect that. I also love the emphasis on hazards, they really punish passive play. What's your go-to sweeper?

Nice team comp! Scizor as a lead is a little unconventional for Psychic, but the hazard control and U-turn support is a clever way to keep up the pressure. Have you considered dual screens on any of your mons to help your sweepers set up more reliably?

Oh, cool, a fellow Psychic monotype enthusiast! Scizor as a lead is spicy - never would've considered it. I usually struggle with Dark types, how do you handle them with this team?

Dude, Scizor as a lead for Psychic? That's a spicy pick! I've tried similar hyper offense teams but always struggled against Dark types, how do you handle those matchups?
