Outbreak hunting in Scarlet/Violet - The fastest way to get shinies!
If you haven't tried outbreak hunting yet, you're missing out on the most efficient shiny hunting method in the current games.
Why Outbreaks are Amazing:
- Base odds in outbreaks: 1/2048
- With Shiny Charm: 1/1365
- After 60 KOs: Up to 1/512.44!
The Method:
- Check your map for mass outbreaks
- Travel to the outbreak location
- Start defeating Pokemon (don't catch unless shiny)
- After 60 KOs, odds are maximized
- Keep hunting until the outbreak ends
Sandwich Power:
Combine with a Sparkling Power sandwich for even better odds! The Level 3 Sparkling Power adds extra shiny rolls.
My Tips:
- Save before starting the outbreak
- Use a strong Pokemon with spread moves
- Keep Let's Go mode active
- Don't fast travel (can reset outbreaks)
