Best counters for Gyarados in OU?

Let's discuss a strategy that's been working incredibly well for me lately - Weather Offense!

I've been running a Sun team and the damage output is absolutely insane. Here's the basic concept:


**The Setup:**

Lead with Drought Ninetales to automatically set Sun. This boosts Fire-type moves by 50% and activates Chlorophyll on your Grass-types.

**Key Pokemon:**

1. Ninetales (Drought setter)

2. Venusaur (Chlorophyll sweeper)

3. Charizard (Solar Power variant)

4. Excadrill (Sand Rush for anti-weather)


**How It Works:**

Under Sun, Venusaur doubles its speed and can outspeed most of the tier. Solar Beam becomes a 1-turn nuke, and Growth gives +2/+2 in Sun. Charizard with Solar Power hits absurdly hard, though the recoil is rough.

**Counters to Watch:**

- Rain teams (weather war)

- Rock-types (Rock Slide spam)

- Tyranitar (Sand Stream cancels Sun)
