The adventure that started a phenomenon. In Pallet Town, Professor Oak gives you your first Pokémon—Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle—and a Pokédex to catalog every species. Your rival, choosing the Pokémon with a type advantage, becomes your constant competition. Travel across Kanto, collecting eight Gym Badges while dismantling the criminal organization Team Rocket. Challenge the Elite Four and face the Champion—your own rival—to claim the title. The goal: to catch 'em all.

🎮Gameplay

The original gameplay formula that defined the series. Capture wild Pokémon using Poké Balls, train them through battles, and watch them evolve. Each Pokémon has a type that determines strengths and weaknesses. Use the Link Cable to trade with friends—some Pokémon only evolve through trading. Battle friends in single combat using the same cable. Explore cities, caves, and routes while building a balanced team of six Pokémon to take on any challenge.
